To Tofu or Not to Tofu........
I have lived my entire life in South Dakota (except for 4 years in Nebraska while going to college). I have closed many land sales involving farmland upon which 1000s of bushels of soybeans have been grown, or will be grown. I have heard about tofu, but we in the Midwest dismiss it as the food of the weak. Give us our real meat!!
Imagine my surprise to find that virtually every dish in China contains tofu. So to all my farm clients, I am sorry to say that my first time I ever ate tofu (knowingly) was when I visited my daughter in Hengyang, in the Hunan province. When asked by the students what I thought, I admitted-not as bad as I thought it would be. dls
